    Application Engineer

    We are currently seeking an energetic, motivated, hard-worker to function as an applications engineer.

    Elutions is a leading manufacturer of wireless modems and a provider of operational business intelligence solutions that improve business processes for energy efficiency, critical asset performance and workforce productivity. We are searching for energetic, motivated, application engineers with the ability to integrate products into real world applications (system design, implementation and commissioning).

    Essential Functions:
    • Firmware and Software product maintenance and enhancements,
    • Field travel to perform site surveys and equipment installation/commissioning,
    • 2nd tier customer support,
    • Customer and sales training,
    • Product demonstration and sales support
    • Effective interpersonal skills, organization/prioritization and administrative skills
    • Good working knowledge of electronics and electro-mechanical devices
    • Interface effectively with customers, other departments and managers to resolve customer problems and issues
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline
    • Ability to self manage
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Relevant software experience including: C/C++, JavaScript, JAVA, MS SQL Server, Active Server Pages, M2M data communications and an ability to work with gadgets
    • Effective communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
    • Ability to learn and implement technical hardware/software
    • Extended travel is required, 50-75%
    • Coding skills a plus
    • Construction background would be helpful
    • Relevant hands on electrical installation experience a plus
